  • Code of Ethics concerning the use of the Internet is being written for your approval.
    We will be setting up a website, like what we had on the County web page which will have access to Planning and Zoning Board minutes, Town Board agenda, Town announcements, etc.

5. New Business
  • The Varick/Romulus Summer Youth Program received a $1,400 grant from the Seneca County Youth Bureau

6. Resolutions and Motions
  • a. Cooperation agreement by and between the Town of Fayette and the Town of Varick for Fiscal year 2007 so as to receive funds available to joint applicants under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974
  • b. Resolution to provide training for Planning Board and Zoning Board of appeals to complete 4 hours of training effective Jan.1, 2007
7. Communications:
  • a. Received flyers/posters from Joan Beecher, Administrator of Literacy Programs, Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES: GED Program, EDP Program and improving reading and math skills

  • n. Glenn Cooke Executive Director of Seneca County IDA, a check for $464.83 ‘07 share of “Payment-in-Lieu-of-taxes” (PILOT) for a natural gas line and for electric lines which were negotiated with NYSEG
  • o. From New York State Tobacco Control Program in the Rochester area, asking areas to reduce tobacco advertisements, remove or rearrange in an effort to prevent youth from being future smokers.

  • q. From the Cayuga Lake Watershed Informing of a forum on Docks and Moorings: Wed. March 29, 7-9:30 pm at the Fayette Fire Hall, Route 414, Fayette (copy for Board)
  • r. A certified letter from Time Warner concerning new services to cable, “Startover” which allows customers to start programming over with the touch of a button and increased download speed of Road Runner to 10 mbps. Increase in some of the rates for service will begin April 1.
  • s. From NYS Office of Real Property Services indicating 19 number of sales in Varick for July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006
  • t. A copy of Certificate of Insurance for Varick’s Compensation coverage with the Seneca County self-Insurance
  • u. From Harriet Haynes, Planner for Seneca County department of Economic Development and Planning concerning a resolution for Varick Town Board to pass to satisfy the State requirements of a minimum of 4 hours of training each year for all planning and zoning board of appeals members in NYS
