PUBLIC HEARING
Public Hearing on increasing the sliding scale income eligibility for the Senior Citizen Exemption from the present income of $12,000 for the Senior Citizen Exemption for Varick Town tax purposes be increased to a maximum of $15,000 with the sliding scale provision adopted as follows:

  • a. Rules of Order for the Varick Town Board for 2006 be adopted as the Rules of the Board for the year 2007. All parliamentary questions not covered by the Town rules be decided by Roberts Rules of Order
  • b. Motion to approve Bonadio & Co. to begin the Audit for year 2006
  • c. Motion to approve amount quoted by Siewert Equipment Company, Inc. to repair the 3 pumps they picked up at the Varick Sewer Building

  • e. Seventh Judicial District regarding granting our Justice to a temporary assignment to preside in other town/village courts as need arises upon Board approval

  • g. Governor’s Office for Small Cities regarding Small Cities Technical Assistance Project #1172TA265-04 thanking Varick for the successful completion and approving the closeout of the grant

  • o. NYMIR announcing a new enhanced Muni Pac endorsement, which adds additional coverages to current policies at no additional charge
  • p. Office of the Seneca County Treasurer stating the list of monies paid to the Supervisor during year 2006 with total of $41,986.37
  • q. Town of Romulus from David Kaiser, Supervisor notifying Town of Varick of special use permit request from Empire Green BioFuels for the construction of their Ethanol Production Facility and Biomass Power generation Facility.
  • r. Marlene Taylor, acting Town of Varick Code Enforcement Officer for Richard Foxx concerning an outbuilding in question erected in the 1950’s which was constructed before Varick’s Zoning Code was in force. (Aug. 18, 1975)
  • s. US Department of Interior concerning The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Pilot Grants Program. Applications due March 29,’07
